Chose The Ground Guys based on reviews. Yes, they were prompt, courteous and talked a good talk. We hired them to remove existing sod because we had a lot of nutsedge, buttonweed due to water ponding on uneven surfaces. This was in August 2023. It stated in the contract that Ground Guys would grade our back lawn and install fresh centipede sod. When job was completed we still had low lying areas.

After notifying The Ground Guys , it took them until October 2023to return with 5 gallon bucket or soil( not enough), which the employees kicked in place with their boots. Threw down a few pieces of dried out sod and did not brick lay it.

Here we are in May 2024 and we had to replace that same entire area as it died from water ponding -still! We have had more crabgrass than ever on the rest of the lawn as well as – yep you guessed it- nutsedge and buttonweed..

I have spent well over 120 hours hand picking various weeds besides the crabgrass, nutsedge and buttonweed. In short, the worst quality of sod I have ever seen that we paid $6000 for.

If you want great sod call HARMONY BRAND FARMS ! The best ever sod! For small jobs you can call them to find out when they will be delivering to your nearest Home Depot or Lowe’s. Beautiful, thick, lush , weed free centipede sod.

Oh and yes I did reach out to the owner,Ben via text and -CRICKETS!

Have been using them for a couple years now. As of lately they don’t leave a breakdown of cost of service & just charge card. This past visit they were ONLY supposed to do a tick service and did and charged us for the entire front of our property almost $600 bucks not approved (we discussed TICK service ONLY) now they are ignoring our calls and will not refund us for the service we did NOT ask for as well as again charging our CC without service price breakdown. I specifically spoke to them week prior about where they would be spraying they take advantage of customers and their money and just automatically decide what THEY want to do and charge my CC without authorization and bill. VERY expensive service and unprofessional employees

Very satisfied
